Who we are
City MOT is a vehicle MOT and repair garage based at Unit 1, Dobbs Street, Wolverhampton, WV2 4JX. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website or its Contact and Recovery request forms.
What we collect
The Contact form collects your name, email address, phone number, the reason for your enquiry, and your message. The Recovery form collects your name, phone number, postcode, and any notes about your situation. We only collect what’s needed to respond to you — there are no customer accounts and no online payments taken through this site.
How we use it
We use the details you submit to get back to you about your enquiry, quote, or recovery request, and to keep a record of the conversation. If you’ve asked us to email you a copy of your enquiry, we’ll send one to the address you provided.
Marketing
If you become a paying customer, we may occasionally let you know about similar services we offer — every message includes a way to opt out. If you’ve given explicit consent to be contacted about offers, we’ll only do so until you tell us to stop. We never sell or pass on your details for anyone else’s marketing.
How long we keep it
If you’ve had work done with us, we keep your record for 7 years in line with standard UK financial record-keeping. If you’ve enquired but not (yet) had work done and gave marketing consent, we keep your details until you unsubscribe. If you’ve enquired, not converted, and didn’t give marketing consent, we keep your contact details for 6 months and then remove them, retaining only your postcode and message to help us understand demand across different areas — with nothing left that identifies you.
Who we share it with
We use a third-party email delivery provider to send messages on our behalf, and the Contact page embeds a Google Map to show our location — both operate under their own privacy practices. Our website is hosted on infrastructure that, like any web host, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. We don’t share your details with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. A small technical cookie is used only to keep the site working correctly — it doesn’t track you, and it’s not shared with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, get in touch using the details below. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this page from time to time as the site or our processes change. The version here is always the current one.
